School Governors

There are currently eighteen school Governors. Four are Foundation Governors, the Ministers of St Marys Church, Westham and St Nicholas Church, Pevensey, always being ex-officio members and two others appointed by the Diocesan Committte of Religious Education after consultation with Pevensey and Westham Parochial Church Councils. Two Governors are nominated by the Children's Services Authority and six are elected by the Parents. There are Staff Governors, two teachers and one member of the support staff; the Headteacher has the right to be one of the Teacher Governors. The Governing Body has agreed that the two parish councils should be asked to nominate representatives for the two of the Co-opted Governor places.
